Thrombocytopenia is a common complication of Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (HSCT), often treated with supportive platelet transfusion. We built a point-of-care platelet inventory and transfusion visualization application to improve platelet matching workflow, decrease platelet utilization, and decrease patient-time spent at dangerous levels of thrombocytopenia. Our application is directly embedded within the EHR and is built leveraging FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources). The open-source, standards-compliant framework will enable distribution beyond our local healthcare delivery system
