Assessing baseline nursing informatics competency is critical for students who take a newly developed course so as to refine an informatics curriculum and adjust content to students’ needs. Graduate nursing students enrolled in a newly developed informatics course were surveyed with the Self-Assessment of Nursing Informatics Competencies Scale, a validated tool for benchmarking.
Learning Objective 1: After participating in this session, the learner should be better able to assess informatics competency and plan/adjust content of informatics curriculum to students’ needs.
