Electronic phenotyping is emerging as an essential knowledge trajectory in medicine. E-phenotyping algorithms could help to standardize community definitions and enable systematic extraction of patients from databases, data warehouses, and data lakes. In this study, we present the first attempt to develop an e-phenotyping algorithm for acute respiratory distress syndrome.
