Our presentation focuses on a design work conducted to inform a larger study delivering tailored education to promote adherence to oral anticoagulant therapy in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation. We aimed to uncover patient preferences on both informational and educational content as well as ideal frequency of delivery and best delivery mode or channel to use.
Learning Objective 1: Results of our study inform patient needs for tailored health education pertaining to atrial fibrillation and oral anticoagulant therapy as well as preferences for delivery frequency and mode of communication. Participants in this session will further learn how these preferences vary by patient groups categorized by type of oral anticoagulant taken and time since their diagnosis.
