Director, Research Informatics at University of Missouri-Columbia
Abu Saleh Mohammad Mosa is the Director of Research Informatics at the MU Institute for Clinical and Translational Science (ICATS). He gained his BS degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and his MS degree in Computer Science and Informatics from University College Dublin, Ireland. He is currently pursuing his Doctoral studies in Health Informatics at the MU Informatics Institute (MUII). His research interest spans in the area of clinical and research informatics focusing on the development of technologies for healthcare. He has co-authored several journal articles and a book chapter in the area of health informatics. He served as the reviewer of AMIA Annual Symposium in 2012, 2013 and 2014. He has been serving as the reviewer for two Journals: “International Journal of Data Mining and Bioinformatics” and “Photogrammetric Engineering and Remote Sensing”. He has demonstrated superlative leadership skills during his time at the University of Missouri; he served as the Treasurer and President of MUII Graduate Student Association and Chair of the 2012 Missouri Informatics Symposium. Currently, he is working on his dissertation project in which he applies novel data mining techniques for the development of a clinical decision support tool for oncologists.
