Associate Professor of Medicine and Biomedical Informatics at Vanderbilt University
Jeremy Warner MD, MS is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Biomedical Informatics at Vanderbilt University (Nashville, Tennessee). He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, Hematology, and Clinical Informatics; his clinical focus is malignant hematology. He is the medical director of: 1) the Vanderbilt Cancer Registry, one of the largest hospital-based cancer registries in the country; and of 2) the Vanderbilt SCT Data Analysis Team, which collects data from one of the largest hematopoietic transplant programs in the country. His research interests are primarily clinical and translational cancer informatics: high-dimensional data analysis and visualization (e.g., PheWAS), natural language processing of narrative oncology texts, and the creation and implementation of health data standards. He is the Deputy Editor of HemOnc.org and an Associate Editor of the American Society of Clinical Oncology’s new journal, JCO Clinical Cancer Informatics. He is the principal software architect of SMART® Precision Cancer Medicine, an iOS app that presents population-level somatic variations in the context of individual patients.
