Andrew King is a postdoctoral scholar in critical care informatics. His interests are in context-aware systems, decision support, team decision making, HCI, and machine learning. For his dissertation, Andrew developed a prototype Learning Electronic Medical Record (LEMR) that observes clinician information seeking behavior and applies it using machine learning to direct the future display of patient data. Andrew has won Best Student Paper at the American Medical Information Association (AMIA) Annual Symposium 2016 and won Best Student Paper at the AMIA Informatics Summit 2017. Andrew is now developing a voice-interactive virtual assistant for ICU care teams.
